What HypeChart is

HypeChart is an independent chart of short videos on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, read every 6 hours. It is run by HypeChart. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram, Meta, TikTok, YouTube or Google. Instagram is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc., TikTok of ByteDance Ltd. and YouTube of Google LLC.

HypeChart is a research, marketing and education tool for creators, influencers, musicians, managers, agencies and brands: it measures which public short videos are taking off and explains why. It is not a social network. Nobody posts, uploads or messages on HypeChart, and every video stays the work of its creator and the property of its owners.

Each video is shown credited to its creator, with its public numbers and HypeChart's own analysis, and a tap on its creator opens their page on its own platform. Nothing on HypeChart is meant to infringe anyone's rights. If you own a video, a song, an image or a name shown here and want it changed or taken down, use our Copyright page or write to labs@hypechart.app, and we act quickly.

About the numbers

Likes, comments, views and follower counts come from public posts at the moment we read them, so they can be incomplete or out of date by the time you see them. Hype scores, rankings, regions and labels are our own estimates. We work to keep them accurate and fix mistakes when we find them, but they are not 100% accurate and are not an official chart. Use them as a guide, not a guarantee.

The same goes for anything that looks ahead or reads a video for you: Rising Stars and its breakout chance, Breakout Radar, the niche, language and country of a video, and whether a video looks made with AI. They are estimates from public numbers and captions, and they can be wrong.

Your account

You can use HypeChart without an account. If you make one, give us details that are yours and keep your email safe: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. You must be 13 or older to use HypeChart and 18 or older to buy a plan.

YouTube

HypeChart uses YouTube API Services to show YouTube Shorts. By using HypeChart you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

YouTube Shorts play in YouTube's own player. On YouTube's own board they are shown in YouTube's order. Their Hype score is HypeChart's own, worked out from their public counts and placed on the same scale as Instagram so the platforms can be compared.

TikTok

TikToks play from a copy HypeChart keeps of each charting video, or in TikTok's own embedded player when there is no copy. Their counts are public numbers read through a data provider, and their Hype score is HypeChart's own, the same formula as Instagram.

Not advice

Nothing on HypeChart is financial, legal or other professional advice. Decisions you make based on it are your own.

Creators and their content

Videos, names and images belong to the people who made them. We show public posts so they can be ranked, and every video names its creator and the platform it was posted on. Featured spots and Pro never change who owns what.

Creators can ask us to correct or remove anything about them at labs@hypechart.app.

Hype Pro

Pro is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. The price is shown before you pay, and sales tax or VAT is added where the law requires it. A free trial, when offered, becomes a paid plan at its end unless you cancel first. Your plan renews at the end of each billing period (every month, or every year on a yearly plan) at the price then in effect until you cancel.

Cancel anytime. Open your Profile and choose Cancel plan, or open Manage billing. Your plan stays on until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are not charged again. If you change your mind before then, Keep my plan turns it back on.

Refunds. We don't refund a period that has already started, except where the law gives you that right. If you were charged by mistake, or something went wrong, write to labs@hypechart.app within 14 days and we will make it right.

Pro tools, including Find your Hype score, the coaching that comes with it, comment data, niche feeds, radars, briefs and exports, downloaded or emailed, are for your own use. Please don't resell them, scrape them, or publish them as a data feed.

Text alerts

Text alerts are not offered yet. If we add them, they will be recurring automated texts you choose to get: when a creator you follow charts, when your own video charts, and the daily top 10. You would turn them on yourself by adding your mobile number, ticking the box and entering the 6-digit code we text you; nothing is texted without that.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to cancel, or turn texts off in Settings. Reply HELP for help, or email labs@hypechart.app. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

Text alerts are for US and Canadian mobile numbers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We may change or end text alerts; if we end them, we stop texting.

Our privacy notice says what we keep for text alerts and who helps us send them.

Find your Hype score

Find your Hype score reads the public counts on an account's newest Reels at the moment you ask, scores them with the same formula as the chart, and compares them with today's top 100. The score, the benchmarks, the "what it takes" numbers and the recommendations are HypeChart's own estimates from those public numbers. They are not a guarantee of any result, and they are not endorsed by Instagram. Where no source gives us a follower count, you can type one, and the rate part of the score then relies on what you typed.

Featured spots

Featured placements are paid, always labeled Featured, and never change a ranking. Pro members see none.

Copyright and DMCA

HypeChart respects the rights of the people who make the videos it ranks. If you believe something on HypeChart infringes your copyright, our copyright page names our agent, lists what a notice needs, and has a form that sends it. We act on complete notices promptly, tell the creator, honor counter notices as 17 U.S.C. 512(g) sets out, and take repeat infringers off the chart. Knowingly false notices and counter notices carry liability under 17 U.S.C. 512(f).

Creators can also ask us to take their own videos out of the chart at any time, no notice needed: report the video in the app or email labs@hypechart.app.

Using HypeChart

Please don't try to break, overload or copy the service, get around a paid plan, or use it to harass anyone. We may limit or close access that does.

As is

HypeChart is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from using it or relying on it, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes go to the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California, unless the law where you live gives you rights we cannot change.

Changes

We may update HypeChart and these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and using HypeChart after a change means you accept it. If a change affects a plan you pay for, we tell you before it takes effect.
