The HypeChart mark in 3D: two glossy black strokes and a glowing green arrow
Brand identity · 2026

Know what’s
moving.

HypeChart ranks the Instagram Reels the internet can’t stop watching, every 6 hours. This is how it looks, moves and speaks.

01

The idea

Two strokes make the H. The green corner is the arrow.

strokegap
Same stroke, same gap. Bend the two stems of an H forward at the middle and let the crossbar go: that is the mark. The eye still closes the H where both strokes turn. Then one thing moves up and to the right, in green. Black and white carry everything else.
02

Symbol

Built on one stroke width, one gap and one 45° line.

The arrow. A right triangle on an exact 45° edge. Its top meets the tops of the strokes, its right edge meets the tip of the second stroke.
Clear space. One stroke width on every side. Minimum size 16 px tall on screen, 6 mm in print.
At every size. The mark holds down to 16 px. Below that, or anywhere square, use the app icon tile.

03

Up and down

The arrow has a twin. Green corner up and to the right when something climbs; red corner down when it falls.

8 places

Up. Signal Green, corner top right. The same shape as the arrow in the mark.

3 places

Down. Drop Red, corner bottom right. Only for numbers that fall; never decoration.

04

Motion

The strokes arrive already moving. Then the arrow lights up, like a neon sign switching on.

HypeChart
One launch per screen.

The full reveal plays on app start and video intros. Everywhere else, motion is quick and quiet: 200 to 350 ms, ease-out.

Up and to the right.

Things that rise move up-right; things that fall fade. Nothing in the brand ever animates down-left.

Respect reduced motion.

With reduced motion on, the mark appears finished and loaders hold still.

05

Launch film

Twenty seconds, cut on the beat: the arrow ignites, the headline slams, then the real app.

Silent masters in 9:16, 16:9 and 4:5. Add the sound inside Instagram or TikTok when posting so it is licensed there.

Green is earned. If everything is green, nothing is. Yellow and gold are retired.

07

Alternate: Lime

A second art for launch moments, merch and social. The primary black and green stays the default everywhere, including the app.

On Lime the strokes are black and the arrow is white. White is only ever the arrow, never text. Never put Signal Green and Lime in the same piece, and Lime never appears inside the app.

Pro Gold

One exception to the green arrow: Pro members get it in polished, faintly holographic gold. It only appears in their own top bar, their Pro badge and the share cards they create.

Gold is never flat yellow and never a UI color. Under 20 px it simplifies to three stops; under 12 px it is flat #C9A04A.

DM Sans zero is a plain oval, so numbers stay clean. Columns of numbers always use tabular figures.

10

Pattern

Momentum: the stroke, repeated at its own rhythm.

The pattern repeats one stroke every 220 units, the stroke plus its gap, so it always lines up with the mark. Use it for backgrounds, packaging and loading screens, at low contrast, never behind small text.

Voice

Short, confident, numbers first. Let the data be the joke.

Say

“@spicy_slurp is up 8 places. Eating right now.”

Not

“OMG this creator is SO viral right now!!!”

Say

“Views aren’t public, so we don’t guess them.”

Not

“Estimated 12M views!”

No em dashes in product copy. Name things the way people say them: likes, comments, creators, the board.

13

Don’t

Recolor the arrow. It is always Signal Green, or one color with the strokes.
Rotate or skew the mark. The arrow only points up and to the right.
Pull the arrow away from the strokes. They are one mark.
Put white strokes on light grounds. Use black strokes there.
